Transportation regime adjusted after gas explosion in Austria

The company Eustream had to adjust its network regime following a blast at the Baumgarten gas terminal in Austria, near the country's border with Slovakia. "We've postponed gas transportation in the direction of Baumgarten for safety reasons," said Pavol Kubik of Eustream, an operator of Slovakia's gas transportation network. This step has no impact on supplying Slovak customers, stated Kubik. Ondrej Šebesta, a spokesman for Slovakia's dominant gas supplier Slovensky Plynarensky Priemysel (SPP) confirmed his words, saying that "gas supplies for industry and households continue smoothly, without any limitation".
A massive blast at the Baumgarten gas terminal on Tuesday at 9 a.m. left one person dead, one seriously injured and 17 more suffering lighter injuries. The explosion was also audible and visible on the Slovak side of the border.
