On Wednesday November 27 a Bratislava man identified only as Peter N. reportedly removed a pair of glasses from a resident at an apartment complex and crushed them on the floor.
The 23 year old native of Bratislava faces charges of wilful property damage in this unusual case. The Bratislava Police spokesperson Michal Szeiff added that, “According to the current information we have, on November 27 at one of the apartment buildings in Bratislava, the accused walked up to a 63-year-old woman and, following an argument, yanked off her glasses and stomped on them on the floor, causing damages of approximately €300. A police patrol was subsequently despatched and the young man was arrested”. This case will be fast-tracked through the courts and if found guilty, the accused could face up to one year in jail.
