Slovakia remains the world leader in the number of produced cars per capita. Almost a million cars will be produced in Slovakia by the end of the year, shows a study that the University of Economics in Bratislava carried out for the Slovak Automotive Industry Association.
This is the maximum capacity from the producers in Slovakia, claims the president of the Slovak Automotive Industry Jaroslav Holeček. Nine percent of the Slovak workforce works in the automotive industry or works for suppliers of this industry in Slovakia. Last year, almost €30 billion was generated by car plants in Slovakia.
