Slovak armed forces extend their mission in Iraq

Slovak soldiers started in Iraq with preparing of instructors of Iraqui security forces in the field of de-mining, wrote TASR last weekend. According to Danka Capáková spokesperson of the Defence Ministry, up to 25 people should be trained in the current course. So far, 15 members of Slovak armed forces are on mission in Iraq as part of the NATO's Training and Capacity Building in Iraq program. In the coming days, another 10 Slovak soldiers should join in, whose task will be the support of the local armed forces in repairing Soviet made military technology.
