The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs has condemned North Korea's most recent intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) test which took place on Wednesday. The Slovak diplomatic corps also repeatedly urged the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) to respect the relevant UN Security Council (UN) resolutions, halting ballistic missile tests and adhering to the non-proliferation treaty. "At the same time, we are urging the DPRK to take steps towards building confidence and to create constructive dialogue with the international community," reads a statement released by the Slovak Foreign Affairs Ministry. The missile was launched on Wednesday from Pyongsong, approximately 30 kilometres from the North Korean capital, and according to the North Korean state-run news agency, KCNA, the missile reached an altitude of 4475 km and travelled for 950 km for just under an hour before finishing at a targeted location in the sea to the east of the Korean peninsula.
