Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico travelled on Tuesday evening to attend the fifth summit of the African Union and European Union (AU-EU) taking place from November 29-30 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. At the summit, leaders from within the African Union and European Union will negotiate the future of EU-Africa relations and on economic, security and migration issues. The event will also focus on youth investment; a priority as 60 percent of the African population comprises people under 25 years of age. 2017 marks ten years since the adoption of the Joint Africa-EU Strategy (JAES).
