Miroslav Lajčák, President of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly, and Foreign & European Affairs Minister for Slovakia, addressed the 108th session of the Council of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Geneva, Switzerland on Tuesday. "We will need to find more pathways for regular migration, and tackle causes of irregular migration," said Lajčák in his speech. He added that the global response to the crisis must involve coordination; not only among national governments, but with a wide network of partners at the international level.
