Licence fees are the basis of RTVS' financial stability, yet the prerequisite for development is an increase in resources. This was stated at a Tuesday presentation for the RTVS Council, showing an outline of its programming services for the 2018-2022 period, presented by the recently appointed General Director of RTVS, Jaroslav Rezník. Regarding reaching an agreement on the securing the financing of RTVS by 2019, Rezník stated, "I will fight hard, so that licence fees remain the basic source of funding for public broadcasting in Slovakia."
