Slovak households will pay more for electricity supplies next year. As the head of the Regulatory Office for Network Industries (URSO) Ľubomír Jahnátek told Tuesday's news conference, end-user electricity prices will rise 2.71% on average. The URSO head explained that behind higher electricity prices is an increase of almost one-fifth in the growth of base and peak load electricity prices on global energy exchanges, coupled with lower consumption. Next year, small businesses will also receive higher electricity bills, as their prices are regulated by the authority.
