The independent daily Dennik N brought information on 8 Slovaks who were chosen by the Financial Times daily and Google for their list of 100 innovators coming from Eastern Europe. These media appreciated their fight against wasting money in state IT competitions, against web manipulations and their cancer research. The successful innovators include are IT supervisors Ján Hargaš and Ján Gondol, the founder of an internet bookstore Michal Meško, scientists Pavol Čekan, Peter Kilian and Vladimír Wolf, the Pixel Federation co-founder Jana Šicková, Konšpirátori.sk project founder Ján Urbančík and founders of the Cvernovka foundation.
