The registered unemployment rate dropped to 6.14% in October, representing a decrease by almost three percentage points year-to-year, reported the Social Affairs Ministry on Monday. The highest unemployment rate was recorded in the Rimavská Sobota district (19.83 %) and the lowest in the Trnava district (2.16 %). Thus there are no more districts in Slovakia with an unemployment rate of more than 20%. The unemployment rate calculated from the overall number of job applicants fell to 7.35% in October.
