Labour Ministry State Secretary Branislav Ondruš confirmed that the SMER SD party would present a draft to the Labour code. The coalition leader wants to make the process of gaining a work permit faster and easier for employees from non-EU member states. The party aims at paying foreigners the same salaries and bonuses as employed Slovaks. The new law should ban social dumping. The work permits would be issued for a certain period of time, e.g. for one year. The draft might come into force as of May 2018.
