Police pressed charges of election corruption related to Saturday's regional elections against six people, according to Police Corps president Tibor Gašpar. They concern people who approached candidates with offers to provide thousands of votes in exchange for money. Other frequent incidents reported to police concerned voters receiving ballot papers even before they entered the polling station. Leaflets were also distributed in some locations during the moratorium on campaigning, while cars with political ads were parked in front of polling stations elsewhere. A case of broadcasting via a public announcement system presenting the activities of a candidate was also recorded, while in some cases official voting records were found to have been signed even before the vote was closed.
