Prince Edward hands out awards in Bratislava

A total of 53 young people received the Duke of Edinburgh International Prize on Thursday in Bratislava. Prince Edward, the youngest son of British Queen Elizabeth II attended the ceremony on his first visit to Slovakia. The laureates were young people who managed to overcome some difficulties or stand up among their fellow students. For example, Alžbeta Poláková, who, after three years overcame fear and despite not seeing learned to cycle again - this time with assistance and on a tandem bicycle. Another winner, Lenka Božíková, organized a national round of a competition for finding creative solutions during her high school final year. She is now studying at the prestigious UCL University in London.
