Slovakia's Statistics Office on Tuesday announced that it is ready to process the results of the regional elections, while it is also well-equipped against a possible attack by hackers. The Statistics Office chairman Alexander Ballek stated that a special security project had been prepared, noting that hackers have not interfered with the processing of results in the past, either, while the only inconvenience was a somewhat slower functionality of the website featuring the preliminary results. The first preliminary results should appear on the www.volbysr.sk and www.statistics.sk websites shortly after the closure of polling stations at 10 p.m. The official results are expected to be announced on Sunday.
