Slovakia and its employment is growing, however, the country's position regarding performance and productivity in comparison to the EU is not improving, wrote TASR on Tuesday, citing the Slovak National Bank (NBS). Though, according to the bank's analysis, a decrease in the differences between countries prevailed among the EU member states. The NBS is expecting an improvement in economic growth following the start of production of a new carmaker Jaguar Land Rover in the western Slovak city of Nitra in 2018. Moreover, in 2019 the bank expects that the performance of Slovak economy might grow to 82% of the EU average.
