On November 1, which will be this Wednesday, All Saints Day will be celebrated in Slovakia. Since 1994 this has also been a national bank holiday. November 2, not a bank holiday, is known as All Souls Day. In Slovakia both days are characterised by remembering those who have passed away. People visit cemeteries and decorate graves with candles and flowers. Traffic jams are expected in the vicinity of cemeteries, especially on Wednesday. Moreover, the Slovak state railway carrier will add 30 extra trains for the coming days.
