2,000 outpatient facilities reach agreement with private insurer

The Union of Private Physicians representing about 2,000 Slovak doctors agreed with the private health insurance company Dôvera on the formulation of agreement which should be valid as of this November. According to the insurer's PR specialist Matej Štepianský, the insured will thus have health care provided without any restrictions, in a standard regime. Doctors in the union have been negotiating with the private insurer since this summer. Since October 1st, about 2,000 private outpatient facilities, which is approximately one third of Slovak doctors, had no agreement with the company. The doctors were unhappy about the level of payments offered by the private insurer.
