The Transport Ministry still considers their plan to open the construction of some 80 kilometres of highways and dual carriageways this year as realistic. The department says that this target is still valid though in its position it does not have influence on some aspects of public procurement. Until the year 2016 the Transport Ministry plans to invest around €8 billion to road and rail projects in Slovakia.
