There has not yet been a case of breaking the guaranteed electronic signature on an electronic ID card recorded, stated Deputy Prime Minister for Investments and Informatisation Peter Pellegrini after the government's meeting on Wednesday. However, he also added that the electronic signatures will need to be invalidated and replaced by new ones. Pellegrini expects the situation to come under control within a few weeks. The German company Disig, which sold the signature certificates and is responsible for their security, announced that all e-signatures on IDs with chips would be cancelled on November 2 at the latest.
