A new documentary film called 'Mečiar' by young Slovak director Tereza Nvotová premiered on Thursday after over four years of collecting materials and filming. The documentary is the story of the former prime minister Vladimir Mečiar and the impact he had on Slovak society and the director herself. Nvotová said that she shot the film for herself and for a younger generation that only remembers fragments of the domestic political scene of the 1990s.
