The unemployment rate in Slovakia decreased in October of this year compared to September. It is currently at 13.66 percent, or in other words some 360,000 people were registered in October as unemployed and able to start work immediately.
The highest overall unemployment rate was in the Prešov region in eastern Slovakia, with above-average rates also being recorded in the Banská Bystrica region in central Slovakia and the Kosice region in eastern Slovakia.
