The European Union has unblocked an agreement on gas supplies to Ukraine from Europe. This agreement will allow the supply of natural gas to Ukraine from Slovakia.
And it could reduce Ukraine’s dependence on Russian natural gas. Russia is the largest supplier of gas to Ukraine. “We have found a compromise on the content and we have reached an agreement. Slovakia and Ukraine should sign it in the coming days,” reads a statement delivered by European Commission printed in the Hospodárske Noviny daily.
