And the CEZAAR awards for the top architectural projects were handed over on Thursday. The Slovak chamber of architects decided upon the winners in 5 categories. The international jury with its 7 members rewarded the family House in house project, the Hunter's house in the civic and industrial category, the reconstructed Old Synagogue in Bardejov, a reconstructed flat in a monastery building for its interior and the Castellum café for its exterior. A special mention for their contribution to the development of Slovak architecture was handed over to the Truc Spherique NGO. With no state funding, they managed to reconstruct the modernist building of Synagogue in Žilina and have turned it into a modern multigenre cultural space.
