Hybrid threats, cyber-attacks and terrorism are among the issues addressed by the new Security Strategy of Slovakia, approved by the Government at its regular session on Wednesday. The Security Strategy's update has been prepared by experts from several ministries led by the Foreign and European Affairs Ministry. The document, which follows the current strategy from 2005, aims to react to crucial changes in the security environment and new security threats. Its key element is the continuity of the pro-European and pro-Atlantic orientation of Slovakia's security policy based on a wide political accord. Concerning the EU's and NATO's relationship with the Russian Federation, the document reads that an interest in dialogue with Russia on security issues persists. The updated wording of the Security Strategy has yet to be approved by Parliament.
