European mobility week with cheaper public transport

People will be able to travel on commuter and regional trains operated by the state rail carrier Železničná spoločnosť Slovensko with a 50-percent discount this week (September 18-22). The state carrier has decided to support European Mobility Week in this way. According to the railway's economic director Patrik Horný, the mobility week is a chance to show people that trains are an excellent alternative for commuting or tourism. Altogether, around 50 municipalities across Slovakia have decided to take part in the Europe-wide campaign to support the idea of sustainable mobility. In Bratislava, holders of valid driving licenses will be able to use public transport free of charge, with the exception of night lines.
