The Slovak capital introduced a project on helping homeless people. The project's aim is to create a complex and effective system of helping people in need. Prior to the new conception, the city undertook historically the first count of homeless people in Bratislava. In November 2016, there were at least 2064 homeless people registered in Bratislava, however, according to the NGOs that work with homeless in the Slovak capital, the count is much higher, 4,000 to 5,000.
