The Museum of the 17th of November has opened in Bratislava to depict the events of Velvet Revolution which took place on that day in 1989. The museum features nine thematic sections that capture the course of the peaceful protests.
Visitors can also learn about the most significant figures of the revolution which was a non-violent transition of power in what was then Czechoslovakia. The Museum came to life thanks to the initiative of Nation's Memory Institute and independent MP Alojz Hlina.
