On Saturday, an Airbus A319 landed at Bratislava Airport, becoming the fourth and last new addition to the Slovak Government Flying Service. The revamped government fleet now comprises two Airbus A319 aircraft and two smaller Fokker 100 airplanes. The Airbus was dispatched from Ostrava in the Czech Republic, where it was painted in the Slovak Government's livery. "As of today, it's entering the service of the Slovak Government as a replacement for the last TU-154 aircraft, which will make several more flights before the end of September," said Interior Minister Robert Kaliňák. The Airbus was previously used by former French president Jacques Chirac. It set Slovakia back €34.9 million, with the price including maintenance, pilot training and the setting up of a maintenance centre, which will also be used by a third party.
