Public hearing of Procurement Office candidates

Public hearing of Procurement Office candidates

A public hearing of the nine candidates for the chairman of the Office for Public Procurement were held by the Government on Wednesday. This is the second time this hearing has taking place, as no candidate was originally selected in May. Back then, only 3 candidates signed up for the hearing. While arriving to the session in the morning, all ministers stated that they had no favourite yet. For a candidate to be selected, he or she needs to obtain a majority of votes. Afterwards, the ministers propose the chosen candidate for vote in the Parliament. Several NGOs refused to participate in today's hearing. The problem is the high number of participants and the lack of time available to prepare in a professional manner for the hearing.
