Based on a recent European Commission regulation, from September 1 of this year, stores across Europe will only be allowed to sell vacuum cleaners with motors rated lower than 900 watts. This was reported in Nový Čas on Wednesday. Additionally, the EU regulations state that new vacuum cleaners should also emit noise no greater than 80 decibels, have longer life spans, and pick up dust more efficiently. From September onwards, the most efficient cleaners will carry an efficiency sticker of A+++. Stores across Europe will still be able to sell models that don't comply with the new label, but only until stocks run out. The new rules are designed to increase household energy efficiency and cut Europe's carbon emissions.
