A record number of people - 150,000 - attended this year's Slovak International Air Fest (SIAF). It took place at the airbase in Sliač, central Slovakia on Saturday and Sunday. The jury selected the winner of the prestigious Best Display Smik Trophy for the most captivating air performance, which went to the Turkish team Soloturk in F-16 aircraft. Meanwhile, people who attended the event along with journalists selected the EF-18 M Hornet aircraft of the Spanish Air Forces as the most attractive feature of the show presented on the ground. Thousands of people saw also the world's largest passenger airliner Airbus A380 as well as the B-52 American bomber aircraft.
