Prime Minister Robert Fico convened a Cabinet session on Wednesday morning with some ministers corresponding via email and just one point on the agenda, namely approving a mandate for him to attend a meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron, Austrian Chancellor Christian Kern and Czech Prime Minister Bohuslav Sobotka later on the same day in Salzburg, Austria. The high-level meeting in Salzburg was to include a discussion on the Posting of Workers Directive. "It's a matter of Slovakia's national interest to resolve this issue," wrote Fico in a statement released on Tuesday by his spokesperson Beatrice Szabóová.
