The competition in the restoration of national cultural monuments knows its winners.
The title of Cultural monument for the year 2012, which is awarded by the Slovak Ministry of Culture, was given to the project of restoring the southern facade of the St. John the Baptist church in Jasov, then to the complex restoration of a medieval presbytery in Rimavské Brezovo, the restoration of the oldest musical instrument – the organ in the basilica of St. Nicolaus in Trnava and finally to the restoration of wall paintings in the presbytery of the St. James church in Levoča. The award should encourage the owners of historical buildings to preserve items of historical and cultural heritage in Slovakia.
