Economy Grew Slower Than Expected

In the third quarter the gross domestic product grew by 0.9% in annual terms and thus slightly underperformed the market average prediction of 1.0%.

This is according to the flash estimate from the Slovak Statistics Office. “We assume that a drop in household consumption is behind the weaker than expected GDP figure,” said UniCredit Bank’s analyst Ľubomír Koršňák.
