Canadian Ramsey to coach Slovak national ice hockey team

Canadian Craig Ramsay has become the new coach of the Slovak ice hockey team, announced the general manager of the national team Miroslav Šatan on Wednesday. The Slovak Ice Hockey Association has signed a two-year contract with Ramsay until the 2019 Ice Hockey World Championship due to take place in Slovakia. The new coach is set to arrive in Slovakia next week. Ramsay, 66, played in the NHL for the Buffalo between 1971 and 1985. As for his coaching career, he served as main coach for Buffalo, Philadelphia and Atlanta. As an assistant at Tampa Bay, he won the Stanley Cup in 2004.
