The Slovak sprinter Ján Volko did not manage to qualify for the final round of the 200-meter sprint at the World Championships in Athletics in London. In his run, he finished sixth with a time of 20,61 seconds. Thus, Volko finished in fifteenth place overall, out of 24 sprinters who participated in the semifinal round. "It was not the worst performance of the season. My goal was not to finish last and that worked out." said Volko after the race.
