A military firefighting unit from the Slovak Air Force base at Sliač (Banská Bystrica region) had to take emergency measures on Wednesday when an Egyptian Boeing 737 passenger plane experienced problems when landing at Sliač Airport, Defence Ministry spokesperson Danka Capákova told TASR on the same day. "It was an aircraft belonging to an Egyptian company flying from Hurghada to Sliač," said Capáková, adding that the plane had problems with its undercarriage. Civil aviation rescue units also provided assistance. The flight from Egypt to Slovakia was a charter flight with 113 passengers on board. Everyone was from Slovakia. The incident did not lead to any injuries.
