11,000 Jobs Created by Youth Employment Project

After an investment of €70 million and one year, the Slovak government’s project to boost employment for the unemployed under the age of 29 has resulted in the creation of nearly 11,000 jobs.

The funds for the project were redistributed from various operational programs funded by the EU and the project was implemented in November of last year. The Prime Minister Robert Fico pointed out that interest on the part of employers was high, as evidenced by the fact that the money has been almost exhausted. The prime minister added that because of such high interest, he will attempt at this week’s EU summit in Paris to gain additional funding.
