Jaroslav Rezník, the former director of the Press Agency of the Slovak Republic (TASR), begins his position on Wednesday as the head of Radio and Television Slovakia (RTVS) after being elected by a majority of MPs in Parliament in June. "Under my leadership, RTVS will be a national, cultural institution that will carry out its public service mission consistently," said Rezník after the announcement of the election result. Rezník plans increased development in the areas of online services and the establishment of a third television channel focusing on age-specific markets, including sports and art.
