If parliamentary elections were held in mid-July, SMER-SD would win with 26.4 percent. This stems from a survey which the pollster FOCUS conducted between July 13 and July 24 on a sample of 1,025 respondents. The survey further showed that the Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party would have been the preferred choice of 14.2 percent of respondents, while the Slovak National Party (SNS) came third on 10.3 percent of votes. Another five parties would have made it into Parliament: the Ordinary People and Independent Personalities (9.2 percent), Kotleba - People's Party Our Slovakia (9.1 percent), We Are Family - Boris Kollár (8.2 percent), the Christian Democratic Movement (6.3 percent), and MOST-HID (6.2 percent). According to the counts, the current governmental parties SMER-SD, Slovak National Party, and MOST-HID would fail to form a majority government. Together they would have only 71 seats.
