Seven Candidates Apply for European Court of Human Rights Judge

Seven candidates have applied for the post of European Court for Human Rights judge. The Judicial Council will select the three candidates that Slovakia is obliged to provide to the Council of Europe on 2 December.

The candidates for the one available position are as follows: Juraj Babjak, Andrea Kriskova, Alena Polackova, Miroslav Gavalec, Jana Zemkova, Slovak Government Agent before the European Court of Human Rights Marica Pirosikova and Associate Dean of the Comenius University Faculty of Law Ondrej Lajčák. Three of the seven candidates submitted their application on the last possible day, which was 8 November.
