The Swedish defence and security company Saab has supplied the new Carl-Gustaf M4 multi-purpose system to the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic, making Slovakia the first country to deploy the new weapon. Delivery of the system took place in mid-July, according to the Swedish company. The Slovak Armed Forces already have several Carl-Gustaf M3 multipurpose systems available. The Carl-Gustaf M4 is a portable multi-purpose weapon system weighing 7 kilograms and designed to fire large rounds off the shoulder. According to the manufacturer, this newest version offers greater firing range and more explosive capability.
