Slovak teachers are underpaid, say analysts

The analysis of the Value for Money Program by the Slovak government has shown that Slovak teachers have below-average salaries, reported RTVS on Monday. Teachers' incomes are not dependent on the quality of their work. They depend on the number of years worked and the number of credits collected in the education system, which as analysts say, needs to be changed. The Value for Money Project suggests savings. It believes that 40 million Euro could be saved by decreasing the number of people with useless master titles and also by closing down some elementary schools.
