Despite fighting hard and succeeding to the singles quarter-finals at the Grandslam tournament in Wimbledon this week, Slovak tennis player Magdaléna Rybáriková was defeated on Thursday by Spain's Garbine Muguruza Blanco, 1-6, 1-6. Although Rybáriková is now out of Wimbledon, she leaves with a prize of £50,000 (approximately €628,300) from the tournament, along with 780 points in the World WTA ranking.
