After a fall in Slovakia's industrial output during April due to the Easter holidays, growth returned in May with industrial output rising 5.1%; being at 3.2% in April. Industrial production alone increased by 4.3%, while electricity, gas and steam increased by 15.8%, while mining and quarrying declined by 5.4%. Month-on-month in May, industrial production, taking into account seasonal effects, increased by 3.8%.
