Students at the Material-Technology Faculty of the Slovak Technical University in Trnava, western Slovakia, have produced an electric wheelchair controlled by facial expressions and thoughts, reported SITA on Saturday. According to Andrea Hajdúchová of the university, students have designed and implemented a hardware solution for controlling the chair, as part of the Think and Go project. Now they are developing software capable of identifying signals from the body of a physically disabled person, which should then transform into its movement.
