European banks exchange information on foreign clients

Banks which are members of the Slovak Banking Association provided the financial administration with information on foreign clients' accounts and their identity. This automatic exchange of information became a reality at the end of June and it also relates to data on account balances of tax residents in other countries. The electronic exchange of information will take place regularly every year between Slovakia and other EU countries, as well as on the basis of a common standard created by the OECD.
