Slovak soldiers in Afghanistan found themselves under attack on Thursday. Soldiers guarding the entry gate to the base camp in Kandahar opened fire when an unknown Afghani driver tried to navigate his car through the defence walls.
According to head of the Slovak contingent in Afghanistan, Peter Ondrejka, the unknown driver didn’t respect the lighting signalisation and the soldiers had to prevent the possibility that the car was loaded with explosives.
