Britain's offer to EU citizens far from 'Fair and Acceptable'

The Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Ministry is far from being able to call the United Kingdom's offer for EU citizens living there fair and acceptable, said the ministry's State Secretary Ivan Korčok on Tuesday. Korčok was speaking after the British Government unveiled a detailed proposal outlining its plan concerning the rights of EU citizens in the UK, post-Brexit. It's clear at this point that Slovaks residing in the UK for at least five years will have the best shot at having their current rights preserved, he asserted. "Everybody else will need to reckon with the fact that their legal status will be different and will emerge from negotiations," said Korčok.
